We know sugar is addictive and research suggests that it takes up to 2 weeks without sugar for the body to reset itself.

  • Are you ready to kick your sugar habit?

  • Do you think you have the willpower?

  • Are you unsure of the benefits that you might gain when you give up your sweet fix?

I am happy to tell you that the benefits we get from reducing or removing sugar may include the following: reduced forms of acid reflux, reduction of inflammation in the body, reduced IBS, a boost in energy levels, less anxiety, and a better ability to handle stress.

How can you start to kick your sugar habit?

  1. You can start by reducing your intake of Fruit Juices, Alcohol, and Fizzy drinks

  2. Give up refined high-carbohydrate snacks such as biscuits, snack bars, and crisps

  3. Reduce your processed/ready-made meals including breakfast cereals

  4. When food shopping read your food labels avoiding any foods with any added ingredients such as sucrose, fructose, glucose, maltose, lactose, or dextrose

  5. Avoid low-fat foods as sugars are added to replace the fats removed

Making changes to our lifestyles and or diets can be hard but it doesn't always need to be a sprint it can be a walk and or jog as long as it is consistent.

You can also make it fun by using events such as Lent if applicable to challenge yourself and give up sugar or alternatively you can set yourself a 2 -week challenge using the points above.
